After debuting at the 2014 Billboard Latin Music Conference to resounding success, the One-on-One sessions will once again offer up-and-coming artists and other attendees the opportunity to interact directly with the Latin music industry’s top executives and thought leaders at this year’s conference.
The sessions will take place on Monday, April 27 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach in Miami, prior to the Billboard Latin Music Marketing Awards. This year’s stellar roster features Bryant Pino of SiriusXM, Elisabeth Bohlmann of InPulse Digital, Johnny Phillips of Select-O-Hits, Jeff Young of Venetian Marketing Group, Tracey Gill of CD Baby, Yvonne Drazan of peermusic, entertainment attorney Alexander P. Hartnett, and Kevin “Pills” Montano of Creative Media Group.

Bryant Pino is director of Latin programming for SiriusXM satellite radio, where he has created 10 Latin music channels that expanded the variety of genre-specific music for subscribers to choose from. The array of channels includes La Mezcla, a bilingual hybrid channel that plays hits in both Spanish and English; La Kueva, playing classic and contemporary Latin rock and alternative artists; Viva, playing the best in pop, rock and ballads; Flow Nación, which is dedicated to playing Latin urban music; and Rumbón, offering music from salsa’s golden era and more. Bryant also ensures that the channels have a presence on social media and remain content-driven, by having the hottest artists visit SiriusXM studios for interviews, in-studio performances, live broadcasts, guest DJ specials and world premieres.
Elisabeth is vice president new business at InPulse Digital Marketing. For the past 6 years, she has been one of the masterminds behind the company’s next-level social media strategy and the success of clients such as Universal Music Latin Entertainment, Warner Music, E! Online Latino, Sony Entertainment Television, AXN, and Marco Antonio Solís, among others. She lives between Miami and Uruguay, has studied and lived in Germany, California, the Netherlands and South America, has a degree in behavioral economics and international business from Bonn University, and is fluent in German, English and Spanish. Her versatile background allows her to truly think multi-cultural, making her a fixture in conferences throughout Latin America, Europe and the U.S.
Co-owner and vp of Select-O-Hits and president of Selecto Latino, Johnny Phillips started working in the music business at the age of 12 in his father Tom’s music retail store in Memphis, Tenn. Select-O-Hits was founded by Tom and his brother Sam Phillips, the founder of the legendary Sun Records label. This year marks the 55th Anniversary of Select-O-Hits. Through the years, Johnny and his brother Sam have continued to adapt to the ever-changing music industry. Today, they are one of the largest independent record distributors in the United States and Puerto Rico, with a focus on independent Latin music and international distribution.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Yvonne Drazan has been an active participant in the music industry for over 25 years. She joined peermusic in 2003 and is currently the vp Latin division, West Coast, where she discovers, mentors, and signs talented songwriters, artists and producers at every stage of their careers, as well as oversees catalog acquisitions, and maintains a deep, wide-spanning roster of Latin, pop, and urban writers for the United States and Mexico including Prince Royce, Gloria Trevi, El Komander, the production team of Alcover and Xtassy (aka A&X), Micky Huidobro (Molotov), Chayanne, ChocQuibTown, A Band of Bitches and most recently, producer Junior Cabral, among many others.
A renowned senior executive in the music industry, Jeff’s involvement and leadership have been instrumental in the expansion and growth of a number of multinational music companies. He was director, vp and executive vp of companies such as Capitol / EMI Latin / SBK, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Latin Entertainment, Disa Records, Univision Music Group and Crescent Moon, the latter owned by the icon and top Latin music producer, Emilio Estefan. Jeff has been the key factor in the successful careers of singers such as Chayanne, Ricky Martin, Shakira, Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan, Jennifer Lopez, Selena, Alejandro Fernandez, Son By Four, Elvis Crespo, Carlos Vives, Paulina Rubio, Ednita Nazario, Ana Gabriel, Montez de Durango, Marco Antonio Solis and Los Tigres De Norte, among many others. In 2008 he established his company Venetian Marketing Group to service and fill a niche in the industry, by providing independent artists and boutique music labels with specialized sales and marketing advice as well as overall label consulting, planning, setup and execution of an artist musical release. Since the inception of VMG, which he calls “a label within a label,” he has played a key role in developing and growing the careers of Prince Royce, Jencarlos Canela, Los Temerarios, Luis Enrique, Victor Manuelle, as well as artists from the upstart independent Mexican label, ReMex Music.
Tracey Gill Miller
Tracey Gill Miller is the global marketing manager with CD Baby, the leading music distribution platform for independent musicians. She is in charge of strategy, implementation and management of all international marketing campaigns for the company in Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese via social media, email, digital ads, video, and content creation. Tracey’s efforts to reach the Hispanic music community through content creation and industry education have led to consistent growth over the last few years, and to the creation of a number of useful guides and resources in Spanish to help artists understand the digital music scene, music monetization, and publishing rights. She is a Fulbright scholar who completed her International MBA at IE Business School in Madrid, and speaks fluent Spanish. She has lived and worked in Argentina, Spain, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama, Japan, and China.
Kevin “Pills” Montano
A thought leader in every sense of the word, Kevin “Pills” Montano began promoting Hispanic DJs since the early ‘90s. Given his vision of the impact that DJs hold on the music industry, Kevin teamed up with his cousin, the late Jason “DJ Threat” Campbell and began to explore the untapped marketing opportunities these musical innovators held. Kevin and his cousin became an unstoppable force to be reckoned with, forming a DJ crew known as The Turntable Assassins. Today the crew consists of over 35 DJs nationwide. Forming the Turntable Assassins provided the ideal conduit for guiding and educating the young and talented DJs in the industry. Given the fast-paced growth of DJ coalitions and their respective marketing opportunities on the horizon, Kevin and Jason created The Latin Mixx Awards in 2001, an outlet of educating and recognizing the best Latino DJs in the industry. In 2006 Kevin formed Creative Media Group, a full-service marketing agency that specializes in connecting with the Latino consumer. This year marks the 10th Annual Latin Mixx Conference & DJ Choice Awards and Kevin continues to lead the charge of this empire built to emphasize leadership and success.
