Becky G will host this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards.
The Latin singer, songwriter and actress will also perform at the 2019 MTV EMAs, which is set to take place Nov. 3 at the FIBES Conference & Exhibition Centre of Seville, Spain.
“I can’t wait to arrive in Seville to host the year’s hottest global music celebration,” she enthuses in a statement announcing her big gig. “See you soon, Beasters!”
The California native’s star is on the rise. She scooped two 2018 Latin American Music Awards, for favorite female artist and favorite urban song, and was honored by the Latin Recording Academy with the Extraordinary Evolution Award.
The 22 year-old singer’s achievements include two No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart (“Mayores” and “Sin Pijama”), a starring role in the movie Power Rangers, and several big-league collaborations with Pitbull, Daddy Yankee, Maluma, Anitta, Natti Natasha, Bad Bunny, CNCO amd others.
She’s also nominated for an MTV EMA for best pop, a category that also features Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Halsey, the Jonas Brothers and Shawn Mendes.
