Honoring the best soccer players of the 2018-19 season, Balón de Oro is back for its annual awards show.
Univision Deportes unveiled Monday (June 24) this year’s musical performances, which include a surprise by Larry Hernandez, a special version of Sebastian Yatra’s “Love,” Joss Favela joined by a mariachi band to perform “La Magia de tus Ojos,” Tini singing “22” for the first time on U.S. television and the singing debut of Frida Sofia (daughter of Alejandra Guzman) with her song “Andale.”
The 2019 “Balón de Oro” awards will feature exciting moments, such as the 10,000th goal scored at Azteca Stadium, and recognize the top players in Liga BBVA MX, the most-watched soccer league in the U.S.
The annual sports event kicks off with a blue carpet pre-show at 8 p.m. ET on July 13 in Los Angeles via Univision Deportes.
