The most fashionable thing in Latin music is mixing pop with urban rhythms. Basically, that’s the secret behind international hits like “Despacito,” “Bailando” and “El Perdon,” which have all broken records on Billboard’s charts.
This week, Billboard Latin Artist on the Rise features a pop/urban duo called Domino Saints, whose unique style merges both sounds with a touch of their Puerto Rican culture, showing that Latin music has no limits when blending different rhythms.
The duo, formed by David Leal and Giselle “Gigi” Ojeda, signed with the record label Rebel Eleven in 2016 and launched their first single “Ya Quiero,” a song based on dembow and reggaeton, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart.
Below, meet Domino Saints, this week’s Latin artist on the rise, and enjoy the premiere of their new song “Desquite.”
