It’s safe to say that Frank Ocean worked alongside an A-team of artists, musicians and creative masterminds to put together the visually stunning short film Endless, the Boys Don’t Cry magazine filled with poems (one written by Kanye West), and his highly anticipated new album Blonde — all three of which he dropped over the past few days.
One of those creative minds is Venezuelan-born producer Alejandro Ghersi, aka Arca, who is featured on Endless. The 26-year-old London-based artist, known for his psychedelic take on electronic music, is credited on the 30-second interlude titled “Mine,” which was recorded in London’s Abbey Road Studios.
Before collaborating with Ocean, Arca has also worked with other megastars, including Yeezy and Björk, while also releasing his own albums and mixtapes — most recently the 25-minute Entrañas. Here are other notable works/collabs featuring Arca:
Credited as production consultant on Kanye West’s 2013 album Yeezus
Co-producer on Björk’s 2015 album Vulnicura
Co-producer on FKA Twigs’ debut album LP1
In 2014, Arca debuted his first album, Xen, followed by his second album, Mutant, released in 2015. (He’s currently working on new album Reverie.)
Hypnotizing mixtapes include 2013’s &&&&& and last month’s Entrañas
