With his comeback album #ElDisco, his successful #LaGira Tour and three Latin Grammy wins in 2019, Alejandro Sanz is ready to celebrate a remarkable year on Wednesday (Dec. 18), his 51st birthday.
In true Sagittarian fashion, the Spanish crooner is optimistic, charming, philosophical, straightforward, enthusiastic, adventurous, loving, and more, all personality traits that come forward through his music, concerts, and even his actions.
Sanz’s fans helped the singer celebrate in the most meaningful way possible: His fan club gifted a special machine to the Association of Cerebral Palsy and Related of Burgos, Spain, one of the causes supported by Sanz’s foundation, La Fuerza del Corazon. “The best gift (always) is the one you give, not the one you receive,” he captioned a heartfelt video on Instagram, thanking fans for the sweet gesture.
Billboard is celebrating Sanz’s birthday by highlighting his No. 1 hits on the Hot Latin Songs chart, including “La Tortura” — his longest-charting title overall, spending 25 weeks at the top.
