The 18th annual Latin Grammy awards ceremony is only a week away and anticipation is building to see who takes home some of the night’s biggest honors.
This year the Latin recording academy has nominees in the album of the year category — including Shakira’s El Dorado, Juanes’ Mis Planes Son Amarte, René Perez’s Residente and Nicky Jam’s Fénix, among others — and the decision to choose a winner will be difficult to make.
Album of the year recognizes not only the singer, but also the people behind its production as well. So far, Juanes, Juan Luis Guerra and Alejandro Sanz are all tied for the record of most awards with three gold gramophone each, followed by Residente who has two awards to date as a former member of Calle 13 and is nominated as a solo artist for the first time this year.
With such tight competition in the album of the year category, which album do you think will win? Cast your vote below.
