2017 is looking to be a busy year for Jennifer Lopez. With projects ranging from a new album in Spanish to a new TV series and dates added to her Las Vegas All I Have residency, the singer offers many things to entertain us during all year.
Although we don’t know what else she is planning to surprise us, check out six projects that “la diva del Bronx” has so far in 2017.
A collaboration with Drake
Jennifer Lopez and Drake are working on new music, Billboard has confirmed. Just a week ago, the pair broke the internet with some clips of their “Winter Wonderland Prom.” They were seen dancing very closely and sharing kisses as part of a new music video.
New Spanish-language album
Yes! After partnering with Magnus Media, the company of her ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Sony Music Latin, Lopez announced that she is recording a new album in Spanish, produced by Anthony. Last year, as a preview, she released “Olvidame y Pega La Vuelta” featuring Marc Anthony during the 2016 Latin Grammy Awards. The album will be released soon.
The second season of Shades of Blue
Harlee is back! The second season of Shades of Blue is ready to premiere on March 5 on NBC. The show joins an already robust slate of renewed dramas on the network and is executive produced by Lopez and Ryan Seacrest.
Back as judge on a new reality show: World of Dance
Last year, Lopez announced a new reality show called World of Dance. The 10-episode series will challenge participants to demonstrate their skills in an unlimited range of dance, including hip-hop, krumping, ballet and ballroom. The winner will receive $1 million. Ne-Yo and Derek Hough will be judges alongside Lopez.
‘All I Have’ in Las Vegas continues
A year ago, Lopez kicked off her show All I Have in Las Vegas. This year, the spectacle has 36 new dates starting in February and ending early October.
Closes the year with Bye Bye Birdie
Last October, the singer announced her participation in Bye Bye Birdie Live! (set to air in December 2017 on NBC). In the ’50s-set musical, Lopez will play Rose “Rosie” Alvarez. “Musicals and Broadway movies fueled my childhood and Bye Bye Birdie was one of my favorites,” she said in a statement.
