“La Luna” is the title track of Latin Grammy winner 123 Andrés’ new album of lullabies, featuring South American rhythms and special guests who join Andrés and wife Christina Sanabria. Inspired by one girl’s fright at the sight of a looming full moon, the spare, reassuring bedtime song is sung by Andrés and Berenice Girón, a young Mexican singer who released an album of songs by Armando Manzanero last year.
123 Andrés’ new roots-conscious album, the artist’s third children’s recording, features the classic “El Elefante,” as well as original songs that enrich the expansive acoustic Spanish-language kids’ canon. The soothing tracks on La Luna will make for welcome daytime singalong songs as well as good-night music to put in steady rotation.
The album La Luna is set for release on April 10. Check out the title track exclusively on Billboard below.
