Tim McGraw will share his personal health journey in a new book titled Grit & Grace: Train the Mind, Train the Body, Own Your Life.
The health and lifestyle book, out Nov. 5 via Harper Wave, will include the country star’s exercise tips and approach to improving his wellbeing with practical and personal perspective.
“I’ve gone through a physical transformation in the last 10 years, but it’s not just my appearance that has changed,” McGraw told People. “My mind is clearer, my sense of purpose is sharper, and my relationships are deeper. Consistent physical exercise helps me bring focus to my life and to the people who mean the most to me.”
The singer gave up alcohol 10 years ago and began working out twice a day. Within two years he had lost 40 pounds. It is this story as well as others from his journey that he plans to share and inspire readers.
“That’s where my workout program came into play,” he said. “It took the place of alcohol and it is really important…I want this book to help people find what works for them by sharing the mental and physical approach that has worked for me.”
In addition to his upcoming book, McGraw is one of countless country acts set to perform as part of 2019 CMA Fest. The singer will play Nashville’s Nissan Stadium during the country festival, which runs from June 6-9, in downtown Nashville.
