March is Women’s History Month, and Sony Music Nashville and WME will join forces with a showcase honoring the occasion.
“A Celebration of Women’s History Month” will be held on March 11 at Nashville’s City Winery and includes performances by five artists on the Sony roster.
Sony Music Nashville recording artist Rachel Wammack and Sony/ATV Nashville writer Hannah Dasher represent the two women on the lineup. Newcomers Carlton Anderson, Robert Counts and Seaforth will also perform. All acts performing are also on the WME roster.
The evening will include each artist honoring some of country music’s most esteemed female vocalists for a night of cover songs. All proceeds from the concert will go to benefit She Is the Music, a non-profit organization which aims to create change and build an equal and inclusive future for women within the industry.
Programs include an all-female songwriting series and an industry database of women creators and mentorship program, among others.
