Shania Twain debuted a new song and performed her latest single on NBC’s Today show Friday morning (June 16). The country singer — who’s releasing Now, her first new album in 15 years, in September — hit the stage in New York to sing “Swingin’ With My Eyes Closed” and “Life’s About to Get Good.”
Twain also treated the audience to a couple of her classic hits, “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” and “That Don’t Impress Me Much.”
Those who tuned in got a slice of Shania trivia, too. In a round of “Country Confessions,” the singer explained that she wrote her 1997 country-pop hit “From This Moment On” at, of all places, a soccer game. “I write best when I’m really bored and I have nothing else going on,” she explained, “and the game was really boring.”
Twain’s Now album drops on Sept. 29. Her last full-length album, Up!, was released back in 2002.
