Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen get straight to the point on “Hangin’ Out In Bars,” another entry in country’s already crowded drink-away-the-heartbreak canon.
Exclusive Song Premiere: Randy Rogers & Wade Bowen’s ‘Standards’
“I’ve been going out too much, trying to forget your touch,” Rogers sings. “I’m searching high and low, all the places we used to go/ And all my friends say I’m in too deep, I’ve been hitting it way too hard.” But he steers away from high drama, preferring to keep things matter-of-fact: “That’s what you get when you spend all your time hanging out in bars.”
The track appeared last year on Hold My Beer Vol. 1, a collaborative album that Rogers and Bowen made together. The pair’s new video captures them playing a stripped down version of the tune – at a bar, no less.
Rogers and Bowen just released a live album titled Watch This. Get a glimpse of their live rapport below.
