The 13th annual ACM Honors will return to Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Aug. 21, where Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, Brooks & Dunn and Martina McBride, among others, will be highlighted.
The event will recognize special honorees and off-camera winners from the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards. The already-announced industry awards, studio recording awards winners and ACM songwriter of the year winner Shane McAnally will be in attendance. Lambert, meanwhile, will be honored with the ACM Gene Weed milestone award, which is presented to an artist for “outstanding achievement in the field of country music” over the past year.
Additionally, Brooks & Dunn and McBride will receive the Cliffie Stone icon award, which is presented to a country artist, duo/group or industry leader who has advanced the popularity of the genre. Musgraves will also be recognized with the ACM Jim Reeves international award for her contributions to country music throughout the world.
Industry professional Gayle Holcomb, partner at WME and director at large on the ACM Board, will receive the ACM Gary Haber lifting lives award for her commitment to serving others, while the ACM poet’s award will be given to Rodney Crowell, Kye Fleming and Billy Joe Shaver. A Star Is Born will also be recognized during the evening when it receives the Tex Ritter film award.
