Miranda Lambert has revealed that her seventh studio album, Wildcard, will be released on Nov. 1.
The project is her first collaboration with Jay Joyce (Brothers Osborne, Little Big Town) and promises to include some rock ‘n’ roll edge from her time spent living in New York following her marriage to New York City police officer Brendan McLoughlin.
“When people listen to this record, I want them to know that I see them and hear them,” Lambert said in a statement. “I feel you, because I’m just a girl from East Texas, writing about all the things that go on in my world and in the worlds of people around me. I want people to get along, you know, just be who you are, own it and move on from the moments you couldn’t live in.”
In addition to the album announcement, Lambert has released a new song titled “Bluebird.” She penned the stripped-down tune with frequent collaborators Luke Dick and Natalie Hemby. It follows the reveal of previous songs “Locomotive” and “Mess with My Head” as well as current single “It All Comes Out in the Wash.”
