Maren Morris enlisted the help of her husband, Ryan Hurd, for the video for new single “The Bones.” In the three-minute clip, directed by Alex Ferrari, the couple enjoy some downtime together during a vacation in Hawaii.
“The Road to Hana is beautiful but a hell of a trek…kind of like the most meaningful & lasting human relationships we get to have,” Morris writes on Twitter. “This is our journey on film for ‘The Bones.’”
The beautifully shot clip follows Morris and Hurd as they chase waterfalls throughout Hawaii and enjoy some alone time lounging on the beach. Morris penned the nostalgic tune with frequent collaborators Jimmy Robbins and Laura Veltz.
“The Bones” is the second single from Morris’ sophomore album Girl. It follows her Billboard Country Airplay chart No. 1 with the lead single and title track, “Girl.” The song’s success marks the first time that a solo female artist has topped the chart in over a year. The last time was in February 2018 when Kelsea Ballerini’s “Legends” hit No. 1.
