Lynyrd Skynyrd will be coming to movie theaters for one night only on Nov. 7. The concert film, Lynyrd Skynyrd: Last of The Street Survivors Farewell Tour, was directed by Shaun Silva and Tacklebox Films and features the band’s 2018 hometown stadium performance at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida.
“We can’t wait to share this amazing night and performance with the Skynyrd Nation, especially those that weren’t able to be there that evening,” said Gary Rossington in a statement. “The energy, passion and reaction to the music and band was something we will never forget.”
The concert was part of the band’s Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour. The film will include footage from the concert as well as interviews with the band.
Tickets for Lynyrd Skynyrd: Last of The Street Survivors Farewell Tour go on sale Oct. 4, at FathomEvents.com and participating theater box offices.
The band recently postponed two of its August concert dates to October to allow Rossington to recover from health issues. Lynyrd Skynyrd’s farewell tour runs through October.
