This early Lee Brice song hit spoke of finding the special in everyday occurrences, such as a day at the beach, a church choir singing, or a solider coming home to his loved ones. The song was the follow-up to Brice’s first top 10 hit, “Love Like Crazy” — which you will hear about later. The singer co-wrote the song with Lance Miller and Rob Hatch.

Brice channeled his inner Bob Seger on this tribute to the working class, which was the perfect showcase for his bluesy vocal approach. The song made it all the way to No. 2 on the Country Airplay chart, and was accentuated by a memorable video directed by Ryan Smith.

But, in the end, it all works out — thanks in no small part to the love of the woman who encouraged him all the way. The song was written by Tim James and longtime Nashville record executive Doug Johnson.

In the lyrics of this particular song, the singer is missing his brother — who was recently killed in action — and is comforted a little bit by driving his favorite automobile and being around his things. Co-writer Connie Harrington was inspired to begin the song after seeing an interview with a man who lost his son in Afghanistan, and kept his memory alive in much the same fashion.
