ACM Awards 2015: Lady Antebellum Rock a ‘Long Stretch of Love’
Covers are nothing new to this tour, as Rolling Stone points out, with the band playing the Guess Who‘s “American Woman” in their Europe sets and ending most of those shows with a mashup of the Carter Family’s “When I’m Gone” — also known as “Cups,” courtesy of Anna Kendrick in Pitch Perfect — and Avicii‘s hit “Wake Me Up.”
Listen to Steven Tyler’s First Foray Into Country, ‘Love Is Your Name’
On this new encore, a month into the tour’s American stretch, Hays jumps on lead guitar and Hunt helps out Lady Antebellum on vocals. And from the looks of it, Hunt’s taken to censoring Steven Tyler‘s lyrics on the first verse, leaving out the last word of the line “Said you ain’t seen nothing, ’til you’re down on a muffin” and again in “I met a cheerleader, was a real young bleeder.”
