The CMT Music Awards season is in full swing, and the list of nominees is officially here.
Country music’s biggest names are scattered throughout the nominations list. Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini and Thomas Rhet?t all have four nominations, including social superstar of the year. Ballerini is in both video categories — video of the year and female video of the year — for her Billboard Hot 100 hit “Peter Pan.” She’s also in the running for CMT performance of the year for her Shania Twain medley with Meghan Trainor and Jill Scott.
Both Urban and Rhett are up for video of the year and male video of the year. Urban’s “Blue Ain’t Your Color” grabbed the No. 1 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart, and Rhett’s “Star of the Show” peaked at No. 4.
Both of country’s leading men also have nods for some of their joint music. Urban and Carrie Underwood’s duet “The Fighter” is nominated for collaborative video of the year and Rhett joining Nick Jonas for the pop star’s “Close” is up for CMT performance of the year.
Fans can vote for their favorites at CMT.com until Monday, June 5.
See the full list of nominations below. The 2017 CMT Music Awards will air live on June 7 at 8 p.m. ET on CMT.
