Country Radio Seminar is fast approaching and the lineup for the 2020 CRS New Faces of Country Music Show was revealed on Monday morning (Dec. 9). Billboard’s December Chartbreaker Ingrid Andress, Morgan Evans, Riley Green, Runaway June and Mitchell Tenpenny have been selected as the newcomers set to perform at the annual showcase.
The New Faces event serves as the 50th anniversary of the show franchise, which aims to give up-and-coming country artists a chance to perform in front of an audience of radio industry professionals. The five acts were selected based on votes submitted by full-time radio station employees between Nov. 18-22.
“This is an outstanding class of New Faces, representing some of the most exciting up-and-coming artists in our format,” says CRB/CRS President of the Board, Kurt Johnson, in a statement. “It’s truly one the best moments of the year for Country Radio — careers are made on the spot.”
The New Faces showcase will be held on Feb. 21 at Nashville’s Omni Hotel. In addition to the performance, Eric Church will serve as a keynote speaker while Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, and Carrie Underwood will also make appearances.
CRS will be held Feb. 19-21 in Nashville. Registration price for the seminar costs $649 and is available for purchase at CountryRadioSeminar.com.
