Brooks broke the news Sunday night on his weekly Facebook fan chat, “Inside Studio G.”
The seven-city tour kicks off July 15 in Chicago, the only city announced so far. He’s teaming with Seagram’s 7 Crown, which he said is picking the cities.
Brooks, who is in the first year of a three-year stadium tour, is tying in with local country radio stations in each market. In Chicago, fans can win tickets to Brooks’ show at Joe’s on Weed Street through WUSN and WEBG. Jimmy Kimmel Live will air Brooks’ performance of “Dive Bar” live on July 15.
“Dive Bar” debuted at No. 16 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart (dated June 29), making it Brooks’ second-highest-starting song among his 90 entries. Shelton will join Brooks at Boise, Idaho’s Albertson Stadium June 19 to perform the duet together.
“Dive Bar,” which has only been available at radio, will begin streaming on Amazon on Amazon Prime Day, July 15.
While Brooks’ dive bar days are long past him, he still squeezes in a date every so often, most recently at Layla’s on Nashville’s famed Lower Broadway in February 2018 as part of Country Radio Seminar.
