Florida Georgia Line returned to The Tonight Show on Monday night (Feb. 24) to perform “Colorado,” while their “manager” tried to persuade host Jimmy Fallon to have them on for a couch interview in a spoof following the episode’s fifth year anniversary-themed parody.
The special episode saw Fallon paying homage to late night comedian Larry Sanders by making his episode a show within a show, which explains the unexpected turn of events during the country duo’s performance. As the duo took to the stage, Fallon stepped out from his desk to watch them perform their classically country song “Colorado.”
Their cowboy-hatted “manager” from “Big Loud Management” then tried to convince the late show’s host to have the singers on for a couch interview, since they’ve been on a total of six times. When Fallon dismissed the request, the silly actor with a Southern accent said, “You know what, I heard this place had cockroaches, I had no idea they’d be so tall.”
Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley also tried to convince Fallon that they’re interview material after their set, with Kelley telling him “he had sushi for the first time last night” as the show wrapped up.
