Faith Hill and Tim McGraw show both the good and bad parts of married life in their video for new single “The Rest of Our Life.” The clip debuted via Amazon Music and was uploaded to YouTube over the weekend.
“The Rest of Our Life” — written by Ed Sheeran, Amy Wadge, Johhny McDaid and Steve Mac — is the opening track on the country duo’s upcoming album of the same name, due on Nov. 17. The Rest of Our Life will be their first album released together, after being married for 21 years.
In the video, Hill and McGraw seem to be on their way to a fancy event just as an argument breaks out. McGraw sings the lyric “You brighten my day” as his wife yells at him. Mid-fight, Hill jumps out of the car in the pouring rain and takes off. She ends up finding comfort at a diner, where a familiar waitress gives her a jean jacket. McGraw finds her there, and the couple makes up.
