With the release of his ninth studio album The Mountain set to be released later this year, Grammy-nominated country star Dierks Bentley announced his 2018 Mountain High Tour Monday (Jan. 22) with special guests Brothers Osborne and LANCO.
Although official dates have yet to be announced, the 2018 Mountain High Tour is set to kick off on May 17 in Columbia, MD, where it will then trek all across North America before ending in Los Angeles, CA later this year.
In a press release, Bentley discussed his time away from the stage since wrapping his 2017 What the Hell Tour stating, “I needed the time off to devote all my attention to the new music and making The Mountain album…but now I can’t wait to fire up the buses and get back out there.”
To announce the concert the country star enlisted some help from his opening lineup crew and director Ryan Silver to film a hilarious short video that finds Bentley — looking like he has become one with nature — guiding his team through a hysterical hallucination trip.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, who released the clip in full, Bentley says he wants fans to know they should expect a similar vibe when they join them on tour. “It’s not going to be a big iowaska session,” he explained to EW, “but it will be a lot of hangs and a lot of fun. The message is that we’re up for anything and we’re genuinely excited to spend time together.”
