Since announcing the upcoming CMT Instant Jam concert series yesterday, the Billboard team has been hot on the trail of learning the identities of the country artists that will be participating.
While the previous participants in the secret shows have included Kenny Chesney and Florida Georgia Line, signs are pointing to a certain Capitol Nashville recording artist being the first artist involved in the 2015 promotion.
Just a few minutes ago, a rather cryptic message appeared on Darius Rucker’s Twitter feed.
Can’t leave y’all hanging any longer. I’m taping a #CMTInstantJam TOMORROW night in Charleston! Want to be there? Details at 9am tomorrow.

So now we know the where is Charleston, South Carolina. The show date is tomorrow. All other details will be announced tomorrow morning.
It should come as no surprise that Rucker’s performance for the CMT Instant Jams series would be from his hometown. Charleston is a place that holds a special place in Rucker’s heart. What is it about the city? “The people more than anything,” he confirms. “Those that were here, my family growing up, and all that stuff. Charleston is such a laid back town of people who don’t take themselves that seriously, and they see life in a great way. Growing up here shaped me into who I am.”
Rucker — who issued his debut country album Learn To Live in 2008 — most recently hit the Hot Country Songs top 10 with “Homegrown Honey.” His latest album is his fourth to top the Billboard Country Albums chart.
