Carrie Underwood has been preparing for a comeback, and now it has a set date. The country star posted a picture on Twitter and Instagram Sunday (Apr. 8) of a close-up of her eye, dazzled in tears made of glitter. “This Wednesday, April 11. 6am ET,” reads the caption.
Underwood’s has been mostly under the radar since she fell down the steps outside her Nashville home last November. The accident resulted surgery for a broken wrist, as well as at least 40 stitches in her face. The singer wrote in a letter to her fan club members telling them that she “might look a bit different” following the procedures.
Although Underwood has shared a few selfies and photos since her dangerous misstep, none of them so far have clearly shown her entire face, leaving fans to speculate what kind of damage might’ve been done. However, Underwood did post a photo of herself mid-rehearsal Friday (Apr. 6), proving that she’s ready to step back into the limelight. At press time Underwood hadn’t given any additional details about what might be revealed on Wednesday morning; her most recent album, Storyteller, was released in the fall of 2015.
