Brett Eldredge joined forces with ride-share service Lyft and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to instill some joy into a few kids from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The country singer surprised the children with an invitation to one of his shows in Nashville where they would hang out with him backstage, which (adorably) took them all by surprise.
“Would you wanna go to my show in Nashville and hang out backstage? What do you think about that? I already got permission from your parents, so just tell me yes or no, but I hope you say yes,” Eldredge said in a video message.
The kids’ reactions to Eldredge’s message were all caught on tape, as well as his interactions with the kids once they got to spend time with him — and the video is just plain heartwarming.
“I am so thankful to St. Jude for the opportunity to meet these incredible kids. The courage and zest for life that they have is something that will inspire me forever,” Eldredge said in a statement. “Now everyone can help make an impact with Lyft’s Round Up & Donate. I hope that everyone can see how powerful and simple it is to help by donating. Let’s give these children the life that they deserve.”

As Eldredge mentioned, Lyft’s Round Up & Donate program benefits kids just like the ones he surprised when app users decide to round their ride far up the nearest dollar. Learn more about Lyft’s Round Up & Donate here, and watch the touching video below.
