Brennley Brown leaves her mark on the listener with the soaring love ballad “Keep Coming Back,” which Billboard premieres exclusively today (Oct. 31).
The first taste of her Luke Wooten-produced (Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler) debut EP due out next year, “Keep Coming Back” captivates with stirring string features, delicate percussion and the California native’s mesmerizing vocals.
The 17-year-old singer-songwriter introduced herself to the world when she competed on Season 12 of The Voice. She made it to the top 5 in the finals, becoming the youngest highest charting artist in the history of the show. On “Keep Coming Back,” the up-and-coming artist further showcases her talent as a powerful vocalist and adept songwriter.
“I wrote ‘Keep Coming Back’ about my musical journey thus far,” Brown tells Billboard. “It reads much like a love story and it’s my hope that people listening can interpret the lyrics according to their own circumstances.
“For me, pursuing a career as an artist has been a heartbreaking love story. Music is all I have ever known. It has a pull on my life like nothing else,” she continues. “It’s been a safe place, a happy place and sometimes even a sad place, but it always heals me. This song really is my love letter to music…no matter what, I keep coming back.”
