Brantley Gilbert and his wife, Amber, welcomed a new member to the family on Monday (Sept. 9), with the birth of their second child, Braylen Hendrix Gilbert. The couple’s new daughter joins older brother Barrett, born on Nov. 11, 2017.
Gilbert shared the news and some photos of his new bundle of joy on social media a day after his daughter’s birth. “Happy…. Healthy…. Blessed….,” he captioned several photos of his wife, daughter and young son holding his sister for the first time.
The couple announced they were expecting their second child together in March following a gender reveal party. The singer penned new song “Man That Hung the Moon” in anticipation of his daughter being born. The track is featured on his forthcoming fifth studio album, Fire & Brimstone, out Oct. 4.
In addition to a new album on the way, Gilbert recently announced his 2020 Fire’t Up Tour in support of his forthcoming album.
“I truly feel like we’re at the point that we can let the music take us where it is meant to go, so with every new album we like to change up our show and make it something that plays to those stories and characters,” Gilbert said in a statement. “We’ll of course still do the hits our fans love, but we are looking at this as an opportunity to turn up the heat a bit and give the songs on Fire & Brimstone a chance to really rock.”
