Red Hot Chili Peppers announced details Tuesday (March 12) about their upcoming show at Egypt’s Great Pyramids of Giza.
The landmark show will take place Friday at the ancient world wonder, and fans will be able to live-stream the entire thing from the band’s website beginning at 2 p.m. ET.
“My heart is abuzz with joy at the prospect of performing in Egypt,” bassist Flea said in a statement. “I’m so grateful and humbled for the impending experience. The pyramids, it’s unbelievable, we just jumped at the opportunity…I have always been fascinated by Egypt and that region of the world and I am so excited to go.”
The veteran rockers are currently in the process of recording their forthcoming 12th studio album, which will be a follow-up to 2016’s The Getaway.
