
The 72nd Annual Tony Awards, which will be hosted by Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban on June 10, are set to feature some major star power when the awards are broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall.
UPDATE: Christine Baranski, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Melissa Benoist, Erich Bergen, Rachel Bloom, Rachel Brosnahan, Tituss Burgess, Jeff Daniels, Robert De Niro, Brandon Victor Dixon, Christopher Jackson, Billy Joel, Patti LuPone, Katharine McPhee, Matthew Morrison, Kelli O’Hara, Bernadette Peters, Kerry Washington, Ming-Na Wen, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Tina Fey, John Leguizamo, Amy Schumer and Tony Award Lifetime Achievement recipients Andrew Lloyd Webber and Chita Rivera are all expected to make an appearance.
Leslie Odom, Jr., Jim Parsons, Uzo Abduba, Claire Danes, Matt Bomer, Armie Hammer, Tatiana Maslany, Zachary Quinto and Andrew Rannells will also be in attendance, as previously announced.
The nominations were announced May 1. Spongebob Squarepants and Mean Girls lead the pack with 12 nominations each, with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Carousel and My Fair Lady trailing closely behind with ten. Meanwhile, the recent revival of Angels In America received 11 nominations, making it the most nominated play in Tony history.
