Taylor Swift is among the winners at China’s Tencent Music Entertainment Awards, which will air on Jan. 23. She will accept the award via pre-recorded video.
Tencent Music Entertainment Group, the leading online music entertainment platform in China, sponsors the show, which is in its second year.
Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou will also appear via pre-recorded video.
Also in the lineup are Ann Bai, G.E.M., Hebe Tien, JJ Lin, Mayday, CORSAK, Sun Rui, Tia Ray, Silence Wang, Zhang Yunlei, Lai Meiyun and Jane Zhang.
The Tencent Music Entertainment Awards will be held at The Venetian Macao. The awards ceremony begins at 7 p.m. SGT (Singapore Time).
Swift could fill a museum just with the awards she has won in the U.S., including 10 Grammys, a record 32 American Music Awards, 23 Billboard Music Awards and 11 MTV Video Music Awards.
In addition, she has won dozens of awards around the world, including a Brit Award from the U.K., an ARIA Music Award from Australia, two Brave Otto Awards from Germany, three Telehit Awards from Mexico and six Hito Music Awards from Taiwan.
She deserves an award just for keeping them all straight in her acceptance speeches.
Swift was IFPI’s global recording artist of the year for both 2014 and 2019.
