Smith’s song is nominated for Best Original Song alongside “Earned It” from Fifty Shades of Grey, “Manta Ray” from Racing Extinction, “Simple Song #3” from Youth and “Til It Happens To You” from The Hunting Ground. Smith walked the red carpet with his writing partner Jimmy Napes, also nominated, earlier in the evening. His performance was introduced by actor/comedian Sarah Silverman, who joked that she “did not see” Spectre, but that she has, in fact, dated James Bond.
