From the top of the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, on Wednesday (Oct. 14), Post Malone’s performance was hyped-up for its super secret location somewhere in Los Angeles. And by the time his turn arrived, it was worth the wait.
Post Malone began his performance by climbing up what could have been a power plant to perform his Hot 100 topping hit “Circles,” showing off his shaved head and spider web tattoo. The remote location was saturated in blue lights, contrasting to utter darkness surrounding the set up.
But Posty wasn’t done after “Circles.” As he descended the stairs he was joined by newcomer Tyla Yaweh for their collaboration “Tommy Lee.” And once they joined forces, sparklers blasted into the sky, continuing to do so throughout the set.
Though the pair’s audio wasn’t perfectly synched up with the clip, the theatrics and high-production quality ensured it would be a performance to remember.
The 2020 Billboard Music Awards is produced by dick clark productions, which is owned by MRC Entertainment, the parent company of Billboard.
