Nicki Minaj opened the Billboard Music Awards in an outfit that was as overwhelming as her rap skills.
Beginning with her Remy Ma diss track “No Frauds,” Minaj popped out in a black patent leather getup from head to heels that gave off dominatrix vibes. There were no whips involved. But she did wear a mask that covered the top half of her face, quickly removing it.
In a studded bra, Nicki twerked a bit on stage and teased a bit of pole dancing skills before sharing the floor with Jason Derulo, who sang his suggestive dance number “Swalla,” which features a verse from Nicki. She returned to the stage in wearing a cape cover, making her appear a bit more queen-like as she ascended and closed with a ballad.
