
Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, Yungblud, Griff and girl in red have been added to the performer lineup for the 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards on Nov. 14 in Budapest.
Following the release of his album = on Oct. 29, Sheeran is in the running for five awards. The “Shape of You” singer is nominated for best artist, best pop, best U.K. and Ireland act, and both best song and best video for his smash “Bad Habits.”
Returning to the EMA stage after eight years, Imagine Dragons are slated to perform “Enemy” featuring rapper J.I.D. The band is up for best rock and best group.
Both girl in red and Griff — who was named the Brit rising star on May 11 — are nominated for best push, while girl in red also earned a “video for good’ nod for “Serotonin.”
Last year’s best push awardee Yungblud is scheduled to perform “fleabag” during the ceremony.
These artists are joining previously announced performer Saweetie, who is doubling as the show’s host, as well as Maluma, Måneskin and Kim Petras.
The EMA will broadcast live from the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna in Hungary on Nov. 14 at 3 p.m. ET across MTV’s channels. Voting is open until Nov. 10.
