Perhaps you noticed that Miley Cyrus was not on hand at Sunday night’s (Jan. 26) Grammy Awards to celebrate her dad Billy Ray‘s performance of the “Old Town Road” remix with Lil Nas X? Sure, she very sweetly shared a family photo on Monday after the country-hop crossover nabbed two Grammys, writing “Congrats to my dad @billyraycyrus and baby brother @lilnasx on their 2 Grammy awards!!!!!!”
Because she couldn’t be there, she posted the pic with Lil Nas and Billy Ray in celebration, then a bit later came back with a more plausible explanation for why she wasn’t at the Staples Center to share the love in person. “& we wonder why I’m not invited to award shows anymore,” the 27-year-old singer wrote alongside a video clip from the 2013’s MTV EMA’s, where she famously fished a blunt out of her purse while accepting an award for best video for “Wrecking Ball” and blazed it up on stage.
Check out the clip below.
