Meghan Trainor will perform at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards.
The chart-topping, Grammy-winning pop star will deliver a rendition of her feisty new retro-vibe hit “NO” at the May 22 gala. The first single lifted from her sophomore album Thank You, “NO” reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 last month.
News of Trainor’s participation in the annual music celebration coincides with the release today (May 13) of Thank You, the followup to 2015’s Title, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Trainor will join such already announced BBMAs performers as Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, Justin Bieber, Celine Dion, DNCE, Fifth Harmony, The Go-Go’s, Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes, Pink, Britney Spears and Troye Sivan. In addition, Madonna will be on hand to honor Prince.
This year’s ceremony will air live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Sunday, May 22, from TMobile Arena in Las Vegas. The show will be hosted by BBMA vet Ludacris and first-time host Ciara and produced by dick clark productions.
