Mason “Yodeling Boy” Ramsey stopped to speak with Billboard’s Chelsea Briggs on the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (May 20) where he discussed his newfound fame, yodeled and sang with Bebe Rexha.
Speaking of his recent performances at Coachella and Stagecoach Festival, the 11-year-old tells Billboard, “Well, 45,000 people at Coachella and 100,000 at Stagecoach…I never do get nervous. People think that I get nervous all the time, I never do, I never did, I just go out there, do my thing, and it’s all good.”
Ramsey also chats about his newfound fame, saying that it has been “kinda hard to get around cause it’s a bunch of people who want to take pictures” but that otherwise, “it’s all good.”
The yodeling sensation also opens up about his brand new single “Famous,” explaining that he knew it would be a “very good song” when he first heard it.
Ramsey also provides viewers with some of his signature yodeling before Bebe Rexha jumps in for a hug from the young star. “I kind of love yodeling too,” she tells him. “It’s in the songs that I do, but you’re the ultimate yodeler.”
The pair then sing an adorable rendition of Rexha’s song “Meant to Be” together. You can watch the full video above.
