Mabel still isn’t one to play games with. On Sunday night (Nov. 3), the 23-year-old singer kept her stance firm against cagey men when she powered through her “Don’t Call Me Up” performance at the 2019 MTV EMAs.
Performing on top of a large purple telephone, Mabel had the crowd’s support as they belted the song’s lyrics along with her. Mabel’s army of dancers also propelled her choreography as they accompanied her in purple skirts. Her performance reached its peak when she segued into her dance segment of the song and, at the end of it, watched her stage floor morph into a giant hot pink phone.
Along with gracing the stage, Mabel entered the show with three EMA nominations, including one for Push Artist. “Don’t Call Me Up” resides on her sophomore album, High Expectations, which was released last August.
