Composed by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, “This Is Me” was among the biggest smashes from the wildly successful Greatest Showman soundtrack. It was nominated for best original song at the 90th annual Academy Awards, and in customary fashion, it snagged a coveted performance slot on the televised show.
Doing the honors was Keala Settle, the actress-singer who played the part of Lettie Lutz, a bearded lady, in the P.T. Barnum-devoted film. And it was a winner. Backed by a diverse cast of support singers, Settle blasted out the self-acceptance anthem, with plenty of flashy ad-libbed vocal runs to sweeten the deal. When it was all over, much of the audience responded with a standing ovation.

The original motion picture soundtrack for The Greatest Showman has enjoyed some significant commercial success since its Dec. 2017 release. It spent two weeks atop the Billboard 200 albums chart this past January.
