Kane Brown and Khalid teamed up for a genre-busting vocal showcase at the 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards, with the pair of rising stars all smiles as they combined for a lively performance of their new remix.
Brown, one of country’s most bankable new voices, hit the stage first, beckoning on a fiddle solo as he delivered his song “Good as You” on the ACMs stage. He then welcomed Khalid, and the R&B/pop star was more than game to run through his song “Saturday Nights” — which recently added Brown on a new remix — in front of the country crowd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
“Good as You” highlights Brown’s recent album Experiment, while Khalid just dropped an album of his own, Free Spirit, on Friday (Apr. 5). The Brown-assisted remix of “Saturday Nights” was released in February after the original song appeared on Khalid’s Suncity EP last year.
The ACM Awards are produced by dick clark productions, a division of Valence Media, the parent company of the Billboard-Hollywood Reporter Media Group.
