Not only did Lil Nas X make history at the 53rd annual CMA Awards last Wednesday (Nov. 13), but he made a new friend: Kacey Musgraves.
The two award winners posed together for a photo that night at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., which Musgraves posted on Twitter with the caption, “best fringe forever @LilNasX.”
The “Old Town Road” rapper, who became the first hip-hop artist to win in the Musical Event of the Year category (with country star Billy Ray Cyrus), as well as the first openly gay black artist to win at the show, sent his new BFF heart emojis in response.
