The second round of performers for the upcoming 61st Grammy Awards were announced on Thursday morning (Jan. 24) and the list has a little bit for just about everyone.
Topping the roster is what the Recording Academy promised will be a slam-dunk “unforgettable Grammy moment” when Grammy winners Red Hot Chili Peppers join Post Malone on the stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the Feb. 10 show.
That group joins the previously announced list of performers slated to play the show: Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Dan + Shay, Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monáe and Kacey Musgraves; Malone was named when the first group was revealed several weeks ago.
It will be the first Grammy performance for Carlile, who is up for six awards, including record and song of the year (“The Joke”), album of the year and best Americana album (By the Way, I Forgive You) and best American roots performance and song (“The Joke”). It’s also H.E.R.’s Grammy performance debut on a night when she is up for album of the year and best R&B album (H.E.R.), best new artist, best R&B performance (“Best Part”) and best R&B song (“Focus”).
The 61st annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS on Feb. 10 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT.
