Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton are two titans of country music with countless fans around the world, but at the 2019 CMA Awards on Wednesday night (Nov. 13), they went back to simpler times, joining forces at what was described as “their own personal dive bar.”
Singing their collaborative track “Dive Bar,” Brooks and Shelton appeared downright giddy while leading a band in front of a makeshift bar setup. “So fill your cup, raise it up, jump in and join the club,” Brooks belted before his superstar compadre on the rousing chorus.
Shelton is among the big winners on Wednesday night thanks to his smash single “God’s Country” taking home the single of the year award. Of course, Brooks is no stranger to CMAs glory, having won entertainer of the year a whopping eight times over the course of his career.
