Ed Sheeran may have been a last-minute addition to the Grammy performers roster, but his performance didn’t seem to be one that was just thrown together.
Not even 24 hours after performing on Saturday Night Live — on the opposite coast, no less — Sheeran took the Grammy stage, as he announced just seven hours before doing so.
Taking things back to his loop-pedal roots, Sheeran brought his first Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper to the Grammys all on his own with his acoustic guitar, a keyboard and a couple of mics — without even using in-ear monitors. And in classic Ed fashion (literally), he stayed true to his casual style sporting a simple black t-shirt and jeans as he sang.
