Dolly Parton has no problem poking fun at herself at the 2019 CMA Awards.
After a strong opening medley featuring hosts Parton, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, the Highwomen, Martina McBride, Terri Clark and more, Dolly, Reba and Carrie began their opening monologue.
Underwood said it was great to be hosting with her two “she-ros,” but it was tough sharing a dressing room, especially since Dolly’s “rack is so much bigger.”
“Well, Dolly’s rack is so much bigger,” Parton said with a knowing smile. “Sorry, I’m just addressing the elephants in the room.”
And speaking of other elephants in the room, the three women addressed the absence of Underwood’s usual co-host Brad Paisley.
Thanks to Brad Paisley for stepping back and letting us gals do our thing tonight,” Dolly said.
“It takes two of us to fill Brad’s boots,” Reba added.
