Courtney Love seemed thrilled to be back onstage at the 2020 Brit Awards on Tuesday (Feb. 18), when she came out to present the prize for group of the year.
The Hole rocker strode out onto the stage at London’s O2 arena alongside Hailee Steinfeld and Anne-Marie. Steinfeld proceeded to list off a number of notable bands who were previous nominees or winners in the group category, including Nirvana, the band fronted by Love’s late husband, Kurt Cobain. (Nirvana received a Brit for international breakthrough act in 1993 and were nominated for international group in 1993 and 1994.) Love smiled when she heard the Nirvana name-check as Steinfeld continued with her introduction.
After the mic was passed to Love, she stressed how thrilled she was to return to the ceremony, which she’s attended in the past as a presenter. “I’m so glad to be back at the Brits after a really long time away!” she said to cheers. She then read through the nominees and proceeded to present the honor to Foals.
