The 2019 Country Music Association Awards nominations were announced today (Aug. 28), and many of the artists named in the categories have reflected on their nods. Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Little Big Town, and Zac Brown Band are just a few acts who shared their appreciation of their recognition on social media following the reveal.
Underwood, the sole female in the entertainer of the year category and host of the show, shared her gratitude for her three nominations which also include female vocalist of the year and album of the year for Cry Pretty. Her entertainer of the year nod also ends a two-year shutout for female artists in the category.
“Can’t wait until November 13th!!!” Underwood wrote, alongside the hashtag #CountryMusicIsAwesome. “I’m feeling beyond blessed and so happy this morning! Thanks #CMA for the wonderful news!!!”
Lady Antebellum reflected on their time together as a band after learning they were nominated in the vocal group of the year category. “What a way to start the day!! Real excited about what we’ve accomplished together as a band so far and can’t wait to share what else we’ve been working on,” they wrote.
The 2019 CMA Awards will broadcast live on Nov. 13 from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. Underwood will serve as host for the 12th year while Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire will accompany her as special guest hosts.

I’m seriously humbled and in a little bit of disbelief about this. These are 2 of the greatest songwriters in history in any genre. I don’t even know how my name can be in the same sentence as theirs. https://t.co/uPPpJrtwOQ
